Fighting Demons (Vinyl) (2014)

Fighting Demons was recorded at the historic 1950's Sun Studio in Memphis TN, where Helge Rognstad was joined by classic rock legends Manny Charlton (Nazareth), Neil Murray (Whitesnake) and Robert Hall (Jerry Lee Lewis).

Further sessions would take place in London UK at the Cowshed Studio. This line-up would again feature Helge Rognstad along with bass player Neil Murray, plus renowned harmonica player West Weston, in addition to The Fluffy Jackets regulars Jerry Bessent and Nick Rhodes. Emil Gammeltoft from the Swedish band SKoR also feature as a special guest on two tracks; "Your Way" and "Travelling Shoes".

Though rooted in blues/rock, the album includes elements borrowed from acoustic singer/songwriter- genres, and even folk music. The majority of the album is new original material, including a brand new song penned by Manny Charlton called "Can't Stop the Rain". The Fluffy Jackets also pay tribute to blues standards "Vigilante Man" (Guthrie) and "Mean 'ol Frisco" (Crudrup), the latter song featuring a fine duet with harmonica player West Weston. The CD is mastered by Tim Turan at Turan Audio, Oxford, UK.

The album artwork is a painting specially commissioned by The Fluffy Jackets. "Fighting Demons" (oil on canvas) is painted by the artist Parichat Mekmanee. 

This Vinyl LP is the 2026 re-issue of the album, featuring faithfully restored artwork, re-mastered audio, full-colour inside sleeves with exclusive photos from the recording sessions at Sun Studio ft. recording engineer Matt Ross Spang and the sessions at The Cowshed Studio in London UK. The track listing is as follows:
