"The Rise and Fall of the Songwriter" is the third full-length album from The Fluffy Jackets, featuring an international lineup of musicians including Los Angeles–based slide guitar virtuoso Matt Bradford, guitarist Liam Creedon from Aberdeen, Scotland, and legendary bassist Neil Murray (Whitesnake, Black Sabbath). The nostalgic opener "Waterloo Bridge" evokes the pop-sensibilities reminiscent of 1960's material from The Kinks, while ballads like "Now That She Is Gone" takes listeners on a poignant journey through themes of loss and longing. Fans of the band's signature blues rock sound will also find plenty to love with songs such as "When The Telephone Rings" and "Black Magic and Bad Choices", delivering the type of gritty blues that The Fluffy Jackets have become renowned for.
This Vinyl LP is the 2026 re-issue of the album, featuring faithfully restored artwork, re-mastered audio, full-colour inside sleeves with exclusive photos, also including archive images from the Manny Charlton Tribute concert that took place in Cordoba, Spain 3 Feb. 2024.
